Discover and enjoy the diversity of herbs
Challenging hike from Gurk to Pisweg with insights into the use of wild and garden herbs
The hike starts in front of the imposing Gurk Cathedral and leads directly to the water-life oasis on the Gurk. When the weather is sunny, the wild herb embankment is full of grass and grass. The hiking companions are an FNL herbal expert and a mountain hiking guide. The two provide insights into the diverse world of seasonal wild herbs and mushrooms, their special features and possible uses. We continue along the Gurk, on an old forest hollow path you climb the ridge and can enjoy the pure forest air and the untouched natural landscape. During the short break at the Debriacher Kreuz, you can enjoy a wonderful view of the surrounding mountain scenery. In Pisweg it is possible to stop at the herb inn “Zum Kramer”: upon request (and for an additional charge) there is an expert guided tour of the in-house herb garden with a herb snack.
We return to the valley on the same route.
