The Museum of Modern Art Carinthia is an institution of the State of Carinthia and is dedicated to the collection, preservation, research, documentation and communication as well as the general promotion of modern and contemporary contemporary fine art. The Burgkapelle art space is also available as a location for experimental artistic projects and installations. In the arcade on the first floor in the courtyard of the castle, objects and sculptures from the collection can be seen in the form of a permanent exhibition.
