Lido Keutschacher See

The public lido has a swimming pier, an area for non-swimmers, a large grassy area for sunbathing,

Take a ride on a pedalo

If you haven't heard of me, my name is Marie and I will tell you what you should experience at the Wörthersee.

If you prefer to take things easy on hot days, then a pedalo ride is just right for you. Gliding gently over the water, it is sporty and romantic at the same time.

Pedalos can be hired at almost any lido. And we did it too. It was simply wonderful – sunshine, a brave leap into the water and working on your tan – all in the middle of the lake!

Your advantage with the Wörthersee PLUS Card

If you stay 3 or more nights, Wörthersee PLUS Card holders get one free entrance to one of the participating bathing beaches. Additonal services, such as the rental of sunbeds or umbrellas, are not included in the free entrance and will be charged.

You can also hire rowing boats nearby at the Petritz farm, if you'd prefer to train your hand muscles a bit more.

What we found especially interesting was the boat made of oak which archaeologists from the University of Vienna had recreated at the lido in Keutschach at the end of July as part of a scientific project within the framework of the 1st Carinthian world heritage festival, using tools from the pile dwellers' time. It was fascinating!
