Stand up paddle boarding – cutting a dash on a surfboard
If you haven't heard of me, my name is Marie and I will tell you what you should experience at the Wörthersee.
You are bound to have heard of stand up paddle boarding – standing upright on a surfboard and using a paddle to move? Yes! I want to try it too, so this point is definitely on my list.
As part of the Fit & Fun programme here at the Parkbad Krumpendorf, they offer stand up paddle boarding and other exciting activities. There is something for everyone here. I registered immediately and could hardly wait.
Your advantage with the Wörthersee PLUS Card
If you stay 3 or more nights, Wörthersee PLUS Card holders get one free entrance to one of the participating bathing beaches. Additonal services, such as the rental of sunbeds or umbrellas, are not included in the free entrance and will be charged.

I was as excited as a small child as I drove to the Parkbad on Tuesday. They gave me the equipment I needed on the spot, and off I went. I ought to mention too that my sense of balance was not great – but that made my first attempt at paddling even more fun.
We started by practising on solid ground: standing upright, holding the paddle with both hands and moving it past the side of the board. It was child's play – but it was a bit harder in the water. I fell into the water every minute or so, but it was very refreshing to cool off!
