Heinrich Harrer Museum Huettenberg

3 fascinating museums in Hüttenberg

In the Heinrich Harrer Museum you will find over 5000 fascinating exhibits on an area of 1000 m2, which tell of the person Heinrich Harrer as well as his travels and expeditions. The Tibet section in the museum includes a Buddhist prayer room, which was personally consecrated in 1992 by His Holiness the XIV Dalai Lama.

On the rock face opposite the museum is the Lingkor, a Tibetan pilgrimage path. Symbols and objects of Tibetan Buddhism can be found along this circular route. This too was consecrated in 2002 by His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
