History by horse-drawn carriage - adventure trip through the Zollfeld
What stories are hidden behind the walls of the Pfalzkirche Karnburg? What secrets does the Herzogstuhl hide and how much of the past is the Carinthian open-air museum? Culture enthusiasts and adventure seekers can find out this and much more on the Zollfelder carriage ride.
The route of the 3-hour drive through the lovely landscape is lined with testimonies of a thousand years of history and historical insights from the installation of the sovereign at the ducal chair via old wayside shrines and ways of the cross to the Carolingian Palatinate Church, where the future emperor Arnulf demonstrably celebrated Christmas more than 1000 years ago .
The guests are pulled by mighty Noriker horses. Back in Maria Saal it goes over the former drawbridge of the church castle, through the whispering arch of the gatehouse, and in front of the cathedral church the carriage ride ends again in the center of Maria Saal.
